Hétéropoïèse : la fécondité systémique des méthodes impures
FR
Abstract
Based on the controversies of the late 19th and early 20th centuries concerning the foundations of mathematics, we discuss the significance, beyond the field of mathematics, of methodological impurities. In other words, we highlight instances where rationality is extended through excursions outside of a basic language which, after a detour, return to the vicinity of the question posed in the initial language. We find these concerns particularly evident in the work of Hermann Weyl and Niels Bohr regarding quantum physics.
